It’s with great sadness that we are announcing the closure of our Valhalla Retail Store in Albert Road, Moonah. With the Store closing we will no longer be making our handmade Ice Cream Cakes.

The store has been serving Tasmanians for almost 30 years with our handmade ice cream cakes, scoop and our pre packed range of One litre, Choc Tops and Mini’s.

Closing the store enables us to expand the production of our yummy range of ice cream products into this space.

The store will be closing with the last day of operation being Sunday 18th of December 2022.

The Valhalla team would like to thank you for your local support of our handmade Ice Cream Cakes and scoop ice cream in Moonah over the years.

Vanilla Bean ice cream won Champion Ice Cream at the Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards on 1st august 2014.

Salted Caramel ice cream was the reserve champion, and will be released 13th august as a new flavour available in 5L.

Valhalla Ice Cream had its most successful Fine Food Awards this year taking out 8 Gold Medal winners, as well as Champion Ice Cream for it’s Jamaican Coffee Ice Cream. The Gold Medal winners were as follows, Jamaican Coffee, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Devils Chilli Chocolate, Strawberry, Peppermint Choc Chip, Lemon Sorbet and Raspberry Sorbet.

Jaffa Ice Cream and Peppermint Choc Chip Ice Cream have both won Gold medals at the recent Melbourne Fine Food Awards.

Valhalla’s Jaffa ice cream recently won a Gold medal at the Brisbane Fine Food Awards.

Valhalla won 3 gold medals at the recent Hobart Fine Food Awards.

Raspberry Sorbet won gold and also took out the Champion Ice Cream trophy.

Old English Toffee won gold and was also runner up in the Champion Ice Cream trophy.

Vanilla Bean won gold.

Valhalla Ice Cream won 2 gold medals at the recent Melbourne Fine Food Awards.

Old English Toffee won its first gold medal.

Chilli Chocolate won gold on its debut with an almost perfect score.

Watch this space in the coming weeks as Valhalla prepares to launch the Devils Chilli Chocolate to the public in conjunction with save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal. A must try for anyone who likes a little spice in their life.

Valhalla Ice Cream won the 2009 Gold Medal Trophy award for our Vanilla Bean ice cream. Our new Stout ice cream won silver and received a great write up in the Mercury. Buttered Pecan, still everyones favorite, was also judged a Silver Medal Winner.

Valhalla’s Strawberry ice cream won the prestigious Gold Medal at the recent 2008 Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards.

Valhalla have taken out Gold medals for our Chocolate ice cream AND our Mango Sorbet at this years Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards. Our Mango Sorbet is a great dairy free alternative to ice cream while still maintaining Valhalla’s commitment to taste and quality.
